Name:  Koperasi SMK Seri Bintang Utara Berhad / SMKSBU Co-operative Society

Motto: Sadik Penjamin Kecemerlangan (Honesty – Excellence Assurance)

The co-operative society was established and registered since 9 March 1988 under the name of ‘Koperasi SM Perempuan Bukit Bintang Berhad’. The name was amended to ‘Koperasi SMK Seri Bintang Utara Berhad’ ever since the move to Taman Shamelin Perkasa.

The Co-operative Society deals with the sales of:

a. School T-shirts and trackbottoms
b. Stationery
c. Comb binding facility
d. Mineral water and beverages
e. Light refreshments

Various Contribution made by the Co-operative Society include building the Polycarbonate Walkway, setting up of the Bintang Cafe, contributing in cash for the the school's Awards for Excellence, scholarships for deserving students, donations to the Nias victims in 2006, numerous donations to orphanages among others.The co-operative society is run by Ms Yeoh and Ms Pugarnes Gopalan assisted by a team of teachers and students.

The Co-op enables members to practise entrepreneurship while applying good social and communicative skills. Other services provided include training for new members and the opportunity to buy shares for all students. Co-op members carry out are tasks such as keeping accounts, sales, publicizing and buying stock to run the co-op smoothly.
