COMPUTER LABS

Computing facilities in SMKSBU consists of 6 servers namely application server, communication server, database server, file server, title server and content server. Each of the servers performs dedicated functions. Schoolnet line is used for internet and it is connected through the router and a main switch. Internet is accessible in the school office, staff rooms, classrooms, science labs, computer labs and special rooms.
Wireless facility is available at three main locations; office, science labs on level one and the resource centre. It is connected through a router (MyAkses) to Access Point (AP). SBU is wired through a LAN networking system that connects servers, computers and printers.

The school has 170 computers available for the use of teachers and students alike. Teachers in this school especially the PPSMI teachers also carry notebooks. The school has several screen projectors and OHPs for use during teaching and learning.

The school has two computer laboratories located on the first floor of the office block. Each lab is equipped with about 35 computers and the labs are air conditioned. Teachers must make advance bookings to use the computer lab.
